What are the divorce laws in India?

According to the Hindu marriage Act 1955, for the filing the divorce the minimum separation period of the couple is one year. Hindu marriage act 1955 gives the facility of mutual consent divorce. After separation period in the next 6 months or 8 months the divorce should be filed.
The statement of both parties will recorded by the court and take the order free.
